A midcentury landmark reawakened. Sítio El Tropicano is a modernist urban resort and members’ club along one of San Antonio’s most storied riverbanks, offering a new focal point for culinary, wellness, and cultural exchange in the city.

Our cafe and provisions shop anchors the hotel’s ground floor, a natural gathering point where the energy of the lobby spills out to meet the city.

Bar Nado lives poolside — and so should you. Cold drinks, inspired bites, and the kind of afternoon that turns into evening, well-spent.

Flamingo Lounge

The Flamingo Lounge pays homage to the original hotel’s legacy. It is situated directly in the historic space that famously housed the property’s real-life, pink-feathered flock of flamingos during its midcentury heyday. True to the hotel’s overarching “biophilic” aesthetic, the lounge blends playful midcentury whimsy with sleek, upscale modernist design, seamlessly tying the indoor experience to the resort’s expansive River Walk surroundings. In an additional nod to the past, we are recreating the “open air” environment that allowed the tropical birds to come and go, only we will maintain climate control. The bar will, of course, be driven by our amazing F&B partners, Emmer & Rye Hospitality Group.

The Spa Leve

Leve is a ritual-driven wellness space that brings together heat, contract, and a progressive approach to treatment, from botanical-infused bodywork to infrared sauna. The result is something increasingly rare: a forward-thinking wellness experience for San Antonio that is accessible, elevated, and deeply transformative.

Leve

Intentional by design and relaxed by nature, Leve is an intimate spa experience guided by modern ritual and the restorative power of the thermal journey. It reinterprets the European bathhouse experience through a curated thermal sequence of eucalyptus steam, botanical sauna, and a revitalizing cold plunge with cool rinse, preparing the body for deeper restoration. Bodywork and facial treatments incorporating local botanicals and scents are delivered in four dedicated treatment rooms, each designed to integrate seamlessly with the thermal journey.
