Get to Know Tiana Vélez

Tiana is a marketing content specialist with 20-plus years of experience, the last six in the travel industry. She started her career as a journalist before transitioning to roles in communications and marketing (digital and print) for organizations such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Arizona Office of Tourism, and Atlas Obscura. She loves playing in the digital space, exploring new ways to reach audiences and improve existing ones. Tiana has been writing and editing for websites since 2006 and managing email campaigns for nearly as long. Arizona-born and raised, this former desert dweller now resides in the damp forests of the Pacific Northwest. When not mixing cocktails as a mad scientist in a theme bar (pictured), you may catch her in a bookstore or antique shop.

Tiana will play a crucial role in our marketing strategy by overseeing email and content initiatives. She will be responsible for creating and executing email campaigns, analyzing their performance, and implementing CRM strategies to nurture leads and support sales efforts. Additionally, this role involves content management plus support with creative needs and digital marketing to engage the audience effectively. Tiana will also play a big role in our new content communication channels like our press, blog and future podcast.
